Barb Benstein

Barbara Benstein is a national award-winning painter and an art instructor who loves to work with students to help them develop their skills. She creates a positive energy in the

classroom. Workshops done by Barb include valuable information and demos, with time hands-on practice and a lively, enjoyable atmosphere. Mostly self-taught, she specializes in pastel and oil paintings of people and pets, as well as homes and landscapes.

Before moving to Colorado, Barb also taught art to teens and adults at the Main Street Art Center in Lake Zurich, Illinois for 17 years. “I love seeing these students creating art and gaining confidence at the same time. It’s very rewarding!” she says. When Barb isn’t in front of an easel, she enjoys time with her two daughters and three grandchildren.
