Gail Smith

Gail’s first love is working in watercolor. The rich colorful landscapes of Colorado have been her inspiration for many of her paintings.  The animal world has not escaped her attention, and these studies are created in colored pencil and/or watercolor.

She has also discovered encaustic painting: the old Egyptian art form of painting with wax. Gail uses the modern-day method of apply the wax to a heavy-weight, glossy paper with an Encaustic iron.
