Art and painting have been a part of my life since childhood. After retirement from a corporate career, my wife encouraged me to dust off my paintbrushes and try something new. I decided to enroll in a Chinese Brush Painting class. This technique taught me how the discipline of a single brushstroke can convey the vitality of the Chinese spirit.

However; my desire for bolder colors and the freedom of abstract design, has lead me to my current state of watercolor painting.

I will always be intrigued by attention to detail and incorporate that into my work. With each painting I create there are no boundaries. Sometimes a photo will inspire my work, but my paintbrush will transfer it to my own vision on the paper.

I appreciate all forms of art and composition. It could be a sunset, a simple flower arrangement, a great masterpiece or my grandchild’s first drawing.
